This seasons once again must-have item for men and women around the world is the scarf. Delicately tied around the neck, pin up style, tied at the wrist or worn as a hair accessory, scarves are veils of freshness in the heat of the summer.
In light laquered silk or aerial cotton jersey, scarves this season alternate between graphic lines and dots, oversized floral patterns or giant ikats. Today head scarves and wraps grow ever popular with society’s celebrities to convey elegance and sophistication and industrial knitting and weaving techniques are developing all the time to cope with the increasing demands of the world’s fashion designers.

This SS09 collection features harmonious tribal colours of red ochre, saffron, nantucket blue, moss green and deep azure. http://www.ventilo.com
- Epice - From Copenhagen to Paris this brand give scarves a tough of modernity. The season's main theme "The Ottoman's caravans" an invitation to travel with prints inspired by Africa, Uzbekistan or English gardens in cotton, linen and silk satin. http://www.epice.com
- Charlotte Sparre Copenhagen - For more than 14 years, Charlotte Sparre's collection has been sold internationally and this season she launches a collection exclusive for men. http://www.charlottesparre.com
- Marc Rozier - One of the last silk manufacturers based in Lyon since 1890, Marc Rozier continues presenting two collections a year each with 90 models. With this abundant creativity, Marc Rozier dares a few ostentatious ecentricities: jungle prints on silk satin softened by muted colours. Floral patterns are oversized and acid while dots revitalise lighter scarves. Marc Rozier also offers refreshing natural linen sand coloured stoles for those cooler nights.http://www.marcrozier. com
A few bold collections this season also dare a few bling bling and trendy eccentricities.
As you can see from these innovative designers, the scarf now represent a huge opportunity for exciting use of colours and patterns.
And with so many ways to brighten up an outfit, celebs all over the world seem never to step out the door without one!
