We have always been in awe of our celebrities brave enough to take on a sheer outfit and who could pull off a look that could still be defined as "chic". But finally our favourite designers have delivered for 2008 and 2009 an extravaganza of sheer; chiffon and silks.
The palette is pure black for evening, and nudes, white and pastels for day. Sheer can be added with a ruffle, panel, sleeve detail or layered into our favourite pieces.
Jil Sanders,Alessandra Dell'Acqua,Marc Jacobs, Anne Valerie Hesh and Chanel bared their souls for this trend on the runway.
Just look how Chanel's sheer black dress could go from elegant and feminine to hit the barometer at "sheer sophistication" with Agent Provocateur's pleated satin “gangster” set beneath it!
Anne Valerie Hesh's flowing sheer gown also gets an added dose of definition from a shot of lace for glamour... Yes, my friends sheer has definitely arrived !
