Military Chic

October 25th 2008 16:35
Gold buttons, epulettes, berets and batons, herringbone wool, four front flap pockets, two internal pockets - the details go on...Military fashion has again had the seasons most prominent designers working through every uniform era in the archives.

Military looks from Temperley, Ralph Lauren, Alexander McQueen, Derek Lam & Collette Dinnigan are attached above thanks to Tania and the team at Fashionising.com

You can see that great coats are again a staple and prominent buttons reinforce the military look whether small or large. A schema of black, blue and red pervade regardless of runway and whilst the beret's military appeal did not emerge until World War I, they are front of house this fall!

The feathered skirt on the Ralph Lauren runway adds a touch of femininity.
